What I’m loving now!

What I’m loving now!

Whoa!  It’s been awhile!  Sorry for the extended time away but I’m back with four new beauty products that I’m absolutely LOVING right now!  As always, these products have passed my wellness test.

1. Carol’s Daughter Rosemary Mint Clarifying sulfate-free shampoo ($13 Sephora): I use this shampoo weekly and it really does wash away build-up from styling products.  The minty smell and tingly feeling on the scalp is an added bonus!  The only downfall is I have to use quite a large amount to really feel like I’m getting a good lather, but since I only use it once a week I’m ok with that.  (ULTA now carries Carol’s Daughter!)

2. Giovanni 2 chic Brazilian Keratin & Argan Oil Ultra-Sleek Conditioner ($9 Target): This conditioner is thick and creamy and leaves my hair silky smooth!

3. Origins Checks and Balances Frothy face wash ($19.50/5 fl. oz. Origins):  The price may be a bit scary but believe me when I say a little goes a LONG way!  This isn’t my regular go-to face wash but on days/nights I don’t need to remove makeup this is the facial cleanser I use (with the Olay Pro-X facial scrubber).  The smell is also divine!

4. Lush Cosmetics Massage Bar in Hottie ($8.95 Lush Cosmetics Beachwood): I’m IN LOVE!  This bar, which looks like a bar of soap, is actually lotion!  The smell is very earthy (think Rasta) but I’m into that.  The moisture is a bit overwhelming and oily so I recommend using it at night.  This bar is a moderate size but won’t last long so I use it sparingly.  Here is a link to the site, which provides a description of the other massage bars available (some are edible and some are self-tanners!).  Do not go to Beachwood without stopping here!

I promise not to stay away so long next time!  Check back this week for more products and until then…

Stay fabulous!

CHI 44 Iron Guard: If you use a blow dryer, flat iron or curling iron, this heat protectant spray is for you!  I’ve been using this product since late summer ’11 and swear by it!  It reduces breakage and fried ends and smells great too!  When using it on dry hair, don’t be scared when your hair sizzles and smokes, no harm done!  (ULTA $14 8.5 fl. oz.)

CHI Silk Infusion: This paraben free oil like serum is great for making curly hair straight.  I use this product on damp hair before blow drying.  Only downfall of this product is it’s price but I use such a small amount that it will last a while. (ULTA $24 6 fl. oz.)

*Both CHI products are paraben free.

OSCAR BLANDI pronto gloss INSTANT GLOSSING CREAM:  This paraben free cream fights frizz and flyaways while also protecting your hair from heat styling tools.  I use this cream before and after flat ironing.  I love it because it leaves my hair looking and feeling very silky and the shine it gives is amazing!  (ULTA $19 4.2 fl. oz.)

*NEW* L’OREAL EverCreme Cleansing Conditioner: I have never used this product and first read about it in People StyleWatch (thanks Jen!) magazine.  It’s the first cleansing conditioner by L’OREAL and is sulfate, salt, and paraben free.  This product is also 100% vegan which means there is no animal byproducts and not tested on animals.  Stay tuned to a full review of this product!  (ULTA $6.99; Target $5.99 8.3 fl. oz.)
